All the things I'm missin'
Good vittles, love and kissin'
Are waiting at the end of my ride

Ride 'em in YuleTIDE

Thank you, thank you Yuletide author for participating! I so enjoy reading Yuletide stories. I tend to prefer genfic or PG-ish stories for the following (in keeping with the original works).

I Capture the Castle - would love to read more about what happens after - to Cassandra and any of the others. The lack of fanfic for this book is just wrong, so pretty much anything you write will be welcome.

Emily of New Moon - there are so many potential stories. Maybe write about Elizabeth and Laura and Cousin Jimmy when they were young or from their perspective when Emily first moves to New Moon. Or fill in any of the gaps left in the books - what about Ilse, what happens to Emily in the years before she and Teddy marry, or tell me more about any of the other Murrays.

Lord Peter Wimsey - I have been a fan of this series for many years. Harriet Vane is such a great foil for Lord Peter. Tell me more about her life apart from him - or maybe their life together before Busman's Honeymoon. Or expand on Peter's life.

Most of all, dear author, please have fun!

It has been too too long since I posted. Part of that is all the time I spend playing Glitch. Then there's work, which has also meant some travel. Work goes well overall. Last week I got a couple of unexpected kudos, always good to hear.

Then there's going out with friends to see The Hunger Games (so good!) or to celebrate [personal profile] imaginarycircus's writing achievements or the Purim party. Doing some reading (mostly mysteries lately, if you are on GoodReads you can find me here).

Here are some recent pictures I wanted to share under the cut )

I'm still watching Castle and Hawaii Five-0. Downton Abbey was great, a little soapy but the Christmas special improved. Once Upon a Time so far has been quite good, though I don't know how long I will be able to put up with unresolved storylines. And tonight I am excited to watch Mad Men!

So that's the update. I try to keep up with DW/LJ but if I've missed any news please let me know!

P.S. Cross-posted to LJ but I don't want the two journals linked. Sorry for the duplication!

Some things:

I need to see this movie. (Link to trailer. Funnee!)

Sunday my roommate's car was broken into (because he left his GPS visible, bad idea). That evening when I was out in the neighborhood one of the guys across the street (where several generations of an Italian family live) started talking to me, apologizing if we heard any yelling, it seems his parents are divorcing. Then he went on to (over)share that he'd kicked his heroin habit.

Really our neighborhood is quite decent.

Echo Bazaar keeps getting better, the designers keep adding more content and it's continuously more creative. You're limited in the number of actions you can take in a day so I am stopped from spending too much time on it. If you like steampunk and choose your own adventure style games, check it out.

I finally saw HP 7.2! I was really pleased to see other characters besides Hermione the trio getting to show how skilled they were. And how much did I love McGonagall and Neville? OMG so much! It was also fun to see the movie with [personal profile] imaginarycircus and David, fellow fans and friends of many years. And Katie made blueberry cobbler! Yum.

I also finally finished A Dance with Dragons. Overall I liked it...but I thought more would happen? And I've had enough of Ramsey Bolton.

It seems like I had more to say but since I wanted to post on Monday and couldn't log on to LJ until today...oh well.

(cross-posted from my lj) (which I am about done with, how hard is it to keep a site up fercryinoutloud?)
